Shadows and Light



“Some people are afraid of what they might find if they try to analyze themselves too much, but you have to crawl into your wounds to discover where your fears are. Once the bleeding starts, the cleansing can begin.”

My exhibition - Lightness in Being in NYC. I wanted to show how light changes the way we look at shadows and carvings on 3d objects. So porcelain was a natural selection because of its translucent qualities. When you drop a light in the vessel, all the raised portions become shadows .. and the carved areas show more light through. In essence .. the light just becomes something....
