Painting this was a slightly different experience – I was influenced by the celebration of the Pow Wow held at the Kickapoo Reserve. I could hear the beating of the drums and it invaded my dreams and subconscious. The end result was a woman floating silently on water covered by her wings of gold, red, orange and bronze; whispering into the night of her secrets long ago, solitude and loneliness.
